WHY CHOOSE SOLAR PANELS?

WHAT IS A GRID CONNECT SOLAR PANEL SYSTEM

Grid connected solar is the ability to harness power from your own roof top with the ability to draw additional power from the grid when necessary. This connection to the mains power line also allows for the sale of excess power back to your retailer.

WILL MY PV SOLAR SOLUTION PROVIDE ME WITH ENERGY DURING A BLACK OUT?

No. Once the voltage in the grid drops below a certain level, your inverter will shut down until the grid is back up and running. This is a requirement as Power line workers could be electrocuted if you send electricity back to the grid whilst they are working.

WHAT IF I HAVE A LOW PITCHED OR FLAT ROOF?

We can accommodate most roofing situations with tilting frames and mounting equipment. A slight pitch is recommended to allow for water runoff and assistance of self cleaning.

HOW LONG DOES INSTALLATION TAKE?

Depending upon the size of your system your installation will take between 3-8 hours.

WHAT MAINTENANCE IS INVOLVED ONCE MY SYSTEM IN INSTALLED?

Solar systems require very little maintenance. With no movable parts you may be required to give the panels a hose down every once in a while. The rain could suffice in certain locations to keep the panels clean but it all depends on your location and environment.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE CLOUDY DAYS?

Your system will still generate electricity during cloudy days however consumption will be less than on sunny days.

The size of your solar installation will depend on the following;

CAN I UPGRADE MY SYSTEM IF MY ENERGY REQUIREMENTS INCREASE?

Yes. Where possible additional panels may be added to existing systems if a larger inverter has been installed. An additional inverter may also be installed if the current system doesn’t support the additional panels.

Yes, our installers are all fully qualified electricians with additional BCSE/CEC accreditation for the specific installation of solar power systems and carry all relevant insurance cover.
